10,000 native tree seedlings are to be planted during this event.  The program aims to grow five million trees within five years.  The native tress species were preferred so that they can provide valuable resources for the survival of the local fauna in the area.  eGWEN or Expanded Green and Wholesome Environment that Nurtures will monitor the seedlings after the event to make sure the growth of these seedlings, as this is also a Cebu Province-wide activity, since the other 50 municipalities of Cebu will simultaneously have their tree planting event.
